Test room The VOMM test room is at disposal of clients interested in making tests with their own raw materials, using the semi-industrial pilot plant facilities installed at our factory. This is the best way to confirm the advantages offered by technology. Turbo-technology of continuous drying Vomm's patented new drying technology has already been applied in various industrial sectors. It is based on the highly turbulent suspension of moist material in a flow of heated air. This suspension is created mechanically in a horizontal direction. The product to be dried, either a solution or a moist paste, is fed into feeder of the horizontal cylindrical module or chamber, where a turbo-agitator maintains the material centrifuged against the sides. The heating is carried out in a coaxial jacket around the cylindrical module, either by steam, super-heated oil or some other thermic fluid. The air used in the drying process is filtered and then heated in a heat exchanger before being injected simultaneously with the moist material to be dried in the turbo chamber. In this way the heating is done by conduction and convection: indirectly by conduction from the heated walls of the cylindrical module and directly by convection from the preheated air. As steam is liberated around the material to be dried, it forcibly removed by aspiration from the drying module. The separation of the dried particles takes place in a cyclone system by means of difference in specific gravity. In specific circumstances, however, the steam can be removed by aspiration through the center of the axis of the turbo-agitator and the dry material is discharged directly from the exit. The Vomm's Turbo-Dryer is thus the first continuous dryer that operates with the combined thermal effects of conduction plus convection with excellent technological results.

	Bulking Sludge Bulking sludge is activated sludge with poor sedimentation characteristics, mostly due to extensive growth of filamentous bacteria (sludge volume index >150 ml/g). International studies prove that more than 50% of the existing digestion plants work insufficiently and show bad results. This has numerous causes which are often not investigated. Utilizing a suitable sewage sludge disintegration plant can remedy deficiencies in an easy and rapid way. Sewage Sludge Disintegration – A New Technology for Improvement of Digesters Generally, disintegration means the crushing (or: reducing) of sewage sludge by exposure to external forces. This happens e.g. by mechanical, thermal or chemical processes. The use of ultrasound (mechanical sewage sludge disintegration) has proved to be successful in science as well as in practice. It is reliable, economic and easy to be integrated in the process of a wastewater treatment plant.
