Product range rounded out – document shredder in the entry-level segment
HSM_SECURIO_C16The compact entry-level model HSM SECURIO C16 is the latest addition to the HSM family – ideal for use at home or in a small office, not just because of its pleasantly unobtrusive operating sound. The document shredder is also characterised by its ease-of-use and safety features, since it is equipped with a folding guard with integrated contact protection that switches off the device if pressed by a child, for example. The shredder also has an automatic start/stop function and includes a ‘reverse function’ for removing jammed paper safely, also known as the ‘auto-reverse’ function.
The HSM SECURIO C16 also features a practical handle recess on top for easy emptying of the waste container – and everything ‘Made in Germany’, of course. An inspection window on the waste container means the user always knows how full it is. In addition to paper, the shredder also easily processes tougher materials, such as customer cards and credit cards. Thanks to ZES (Zero Energy Standby), the diminutive multi-talent is also very energy efficient.
HSM_shredstar_X10The entry-level portfolio of low-budget units has been expanded to include two new particle cut units of the shredstar line. The HSM shredstar X10 is available in security level 3, the HSM shredstar X6pro in security level 4. In addition to paper, they also shred credit and customer cards as well as CDs, which are separated into another waste container for environmentally friendly disposal.
Safe destruction of data media
The HSM HDS 230 hard drive shredder is used for the destruction of digital data media. Using a sturdy solid steel cutting unit, digital data media are shredded into tiny particles, making recovery impossible – safely, in compliance with data privacy regulations and economically. Hard drives and magnetic tapes up to 3.5", CDs/DVDs, floppy discs and USB sticks can be destroyed.
New online tools underscore the service character of HSM
Screenshot_Mobile_Service_AppHSM expanded its service offerings on the website www.hsm.eu last year. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) that provide the user with valuable information were included in the office technology section. Using a new online form, HSM customers can enter service questions online or even while on the go. Online tools like Product Finder, Web2Print or Data Sheet Generator have been internationalised and improved. In 2012 HSM will launch more electronic online tools and further demonstrate the quality of its advisory services.
‘Genuine HSM’ – at Paperworld, that’s the motto with which HSM is underscoring the importance of its broad range of new service offerings, which are just as much a part of the company philosophy as its products.
