Economic growth and improved quality of life in developing countries depend on a wide spectrum of competencies and supportive measures. Obviously this means concrete technical measures like building residential accommodation, institutions, factories, roads, bridges and water supply networks. But it also involves softer skills like education, social equality, political independence, gender quality, medical care and social welfare.

| Energy & climate Reduction of energy use is a much discussed issue today. The first step is to prepare an energy assessment. This is something in which Hifab has a leading edge in, especially in the field of energy and climate. We are assisting our customers to achieve a more efficient use of energy in public premises, privately owned properties, and operating plants. |
| Environment Hifab and Envipro jointly have the required competence in the environmental aspects of buildings, land, water, sediment and deposits, as well as in management issues and management systems in the construction, plant and real estate areas. In consultation with our customers we deliver environmental competence and environmental counselling to ensure the appropriate quality of the projects. |
| Forms of contracting Hifab provides all forms of contract available on the market. The form of contract to be selected is dependent on the customer’s preferences and the prevailing circumstances of the project/market. In addition to traditional forms of contract, such as general contracts, co-ordinated general contracts, shared contracts or turnkey contracts, we are also working with other forms of contracts that require the expertise of our organisation. |
| Industrial projects Hifab is traditionally participating in investment projects for the heavy industry. Hifab acts as project managers and provides support from the initial idea to the finished product. In industrial projects we are generally participating in the governing segment, such as company managements, project managements or organisations for construction management. The requirements for production efficiency and quality assurance are stronger today then ever before. Each investment in a new product, a new production method or production line requires an optimal technical solution to become, and remain, profitable. To most industrial or processing companies it is crucial for their competitiveness to minimise lead times, to utilise capacity in full and to minimise error tolerance. Hifab’s consultants map the production requirements and find the solutions required for each separate project, leading the development towards full profitability for the customer. A well-planned and well implemented project reduces the risk of industrial production stop or changeover time | |
