| inclined sorting machine The inclined sorting machine is designed to sort almost any combination of recyclable materials automatically. When processing mixed construc- tion and demolition waste, the machine separates the waste into a pure mineral fraction and a high calorific value fraction consisting of plastics, paper and wood.

| Mobile Separation units REDOX offers a wide range of mobile and semi-mobile separation units. The mobile units can be delivered on trailers or on tracks. The systems can be delivered with unique stretch deck screens, very efficient windshifters and feed hoppers. Semi-mobile units are equipped with a hook-lift system or hydraulic supports. REDOX delivers the following types of mobile sorting units:
DSW 4000 ED
Single deck screen with deposit hopper,
single lane windshifter
SW 5000 DD
Double deck screen, double lane windshifter
DS 6000 ED
Single deck screen with deposit hopper

| Overband magnets Overband magnets are designed for use over a moving bed of material from which iron is to be removed. Iron is a common material in demolition and construction waste. The magnet is there for one of the most frequently used separators in a sorting line or any sorting process for construction and demolition waste. Overband magnets are box-shaped units containing blocks of permanent magnet material, arranged to produce a powerful magnetic field. This magnetic field attracts the iron from the passing waste stream and removes it. |
| REDOX deposit hoppers The REDOX deposit hoppers are designed to continuously and steadily feed various kinds of material. They fead materials like construction and demolition waste, industrial and commercial waste, household waste, organic waste, compost, dry recyclables etc.
Functioning of the REDOX deposit hoppers
The REDOX deposit hoppers are primarily used as a feeding system for a sorting line, a washing line or for windshifters. The deposit hoppers can be loaded by a front loader or grab. They can be equipped with a walking floor or with a dosing conveyor belt, which is suitable for frequency control. The chosen material of the slats of the walking floor depends on the material. The conveyor belt can be supported on the total length with impact rollers to protect the belt during loading of heavy materials like demolition and construction waste.
Advantages REDOX deposit hoppers
continuous and steady material supply to system
suitable for different materials
low maintenance costs
strong construction (long life)
suitable for set-up both inside and outside

| REDOX drum washer Aggregates often contain clays and fines. Cleaned aggregates can be reused in concrete. REDOX can clean these aggregates with their REDOX drum washer.
More information
The REDOX drum washers are designed to clean gravel and aggregates and to separate the floating dirt with a contamination level of approx. 10-20%. The spirals inside make sure that there is a continuous mechanical shear and discharge of aggregates at the high side of the drum. The density of the recirculation water can be up to 1200 grams per litre in order to float even heavy parts (e.g. heavy plastics and saturated wood).
The capacities of the REDOX drum washers vary from 10 to 100 tons per hour.
Furthermore, the units can be extended with the REDOX sand separator and REDOX water treatment equipment.

| REDOX windshifters The REDOX windshifters for construction and demolition waste are designed to separate the aggregates from light parts like wood, folio, paper, cardboard and plastic. The REDOX windshifters for construction and demolition waste are also applied to separate the high calorific material from a C&D waste flow.
Functioning of the REDOX windshifter
The material to be cleaned is brought onto a vibrating table. By vibrating, the materials spread out and long parts are positioned in transport direction. At the end of the vibrating table the material falls as a ĂŹcurtainĂŽ through an air stream. The light parts are lifted across a rotating drum. Even long parts can thus be separated effectively with relatively low air flows since the rotating drum can take these parts across mechanically. The heavy parts fall in front of the rotating drum onto a discharge conveyor or into a bay.
The windshifter can separate various materials with different densities and sizes. It can separate small fractions (4-300 mm) as well as large fractions (up to 600 mm).
Because of its flexibility, itĂs even possible to treat various materials on the same windshifter.
Different types of REDOX windshifters are available, like:
static windshifters
semi-mobile windshifters
mobile windshifters
The capacities of these windshifters are ranging from 20 up to 130 tons per hour.
The windshifters can be adjusted to realise the best cleaning effect by regulating:
air stream
angle of air stream
rpm of separation drum
distance between vibrating table and separation drum
height of separation drum

| Sorting cabins Sorting cabins are used to separate different fractions like wood, ferrous, non-ferrous and plastics manually. It consists of picking belts and drop hoppers.
The belts in a sorting cabin can be used for the positive and negative picking.
Positive picking means that one picks the end product from the picking belt. This is mostly done for the oversized fractions (i.e. >100 mm).
Negative picking means the last bit of pollution is removed from a product (i.e. plastics removed from wood) after most of the pollution has been removed automatically. This is done on a so-called inspection belt.
The REDOX sorting cabins can be equipped with electro pneumatic operated flaps in the drop hopper to prevent unwanted air flows and to block the hoppers when the bay below is emptied.
Sorting cabins can be supplied with heating, air-conditioning and overpressure systems

| Trommelscreen Sorting of waste streams has a great impact on the environment. Thorough sorting can reduce the amount of waste going to landfills and/or incinerators considerably. By turning waste into recyclable products, money can be saved; the amortisation of Material Recycling Facility (MRF) depends on the costs for landfill and/or incineration.
More Information
The REDOX sorting lines for demolition and construction waste can produce reusable materials like wood, metals, RDF (Refuse Derived Fuel), soil, aggregates.
Aggregates can be reused as a foundation material in road constructions, as a gravel substitute in concrete or as a trenchfill material. Soil can be used in noise protection walls, as fill-material or for road construction. High calorific materials like plastic and paper can be turned into RDF.
A sorting line mostly consists of a deposit hopper, sizing equipment (screens), separating equipment (separators), cleaning equipment with the help of air (windshifters) or water (washers), sorting cabins and conveyor systems. Furthermore the line can be equipped with crushers, shredders, presses, balers and grey water systems. The treated grey water can be used for dust suppression systems, spraying systems for incoming loads and wheel washers.
REDOX project procedures
There is no standard sorting line, since no waste flow or site is the same. That is why REDOX Recycling Technology analyses the waste flow by amongst others making a mass-volume balance. Furthermore a lay-out of the line is made. REDOX will then check in close co-operation with the customer if the chosen set-up is agreed upon. Next a detailed design is made. For all projects an experienced project manager is appointed to supervise production, installation and start-up.
