Demag Cranes is one of the world’s leading providers of industrial cranes, crane components, harbour cranes and port automation technology. Services, in particular maintenance and refurbishment services, are another key element of its business activities. The activities of Demag Cranes are divided up into three segments: Industrial Cranes, Port Technology and Services.

In “Demag” and “Gottwald”, the Group has strong brands and believes that it is a global market leader by virtue of its innovation and technology leadership, its excellent product and service quality and its close and long-term customer relationships. Demag Cranes manufactures in 16 countries on five continents and through subsidiaries, agencies and a joint venture operates one of the most comprehensive worldwide sales and service networks in the industry. The Group is represented in more than 60 countries and reaches customers in more than 100 countries.

In financial year 2005/2006, the Group generated total sales of some EUR 987 million and adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of some EUR 106 million with 5,680 employees (as at 30 September 2006). As at 30 September 2006, 19.2 percent of sales were generated in Germany, 38.2 percent in Europe excluding Germany, 22.2 percent in North and South America, 12.3 percent in Asia and 8.1 percent in other countries.

	Demag EDKE suspension cranes Demag suspension cranes are simply attached to the existing roof structure save you having to install crane runway pillars. In this way, the entire workshop area is available for production. If required, specific sections of the workshop can also be served. The lateral overhangs enable you to extend the travel path of the travelling hoist beyond the span dimension. Optional latching devices make it possible to transfer the travelling hoist from the crane girder to a branch track and back without having to deposit the load.
	Demag KB conical-rotor brake motors The Demag KB conical-rotor brake motor provides you with a brake motor that utilises a unique operating principle: The brake is not separately controlled, but firmly connected to the rotor, i.e. integrated. This means that motor start-up and brake release as well as motor switch-off and brake application are each synchronised.

	Demag process cranes recycling High-availability cranes fitted with grabs serve furnaces manually and automatically, quickly and reliably all over the world.
