Waterix's dealers have convinced new customers for the benefits of our solutions in several new countries: France, UK, Russia, Portugal, Spain, Poland, Serbia, Sweden and Estonia.
The customer segments include as well industrial as municipal waste water treatment plants, landfills and golf courses.
There are discussions on final stage in several other countries in the EMEA-region.
This means that Waterix is now on a really rapid international growth path and delivering innovative new solutions for professional water sectors for years to come.
Waterix was founded in 2003 specialising in progressive environmental technologies. The solutions it develops are focused on municipal and industrial sewage treatment and process water cooling. The principle products are aerators, mixers and process water coolers. Waterix's R&D-team has collected over 30 patents over the years, most of them recognized internationally.
The development of Waterix systems has paid special attention to the overall costs for the entire lifecycle of the product and to eco-efficiency of our products. Indeed, the distinctive characteristics of these devices are lower energy consumption than competing technologies, easy installation and servicing, as well as good controllability.
Waterix is Finland's largest manufacturer supplying aerators for natural bodies of water and market leader in waste stations' leachate water treatment. The new, larger models have proven their efficiency in industrial and municipal sewage treatment plants in a number of countries.
Waterix has started international activities in Central-Europe and North-Africa. We are currently investigating new partners in EMEA-area and Asia.
The cornerstones of our quality principles are developing high-quality solutions which give genuine customer benefits and we are committed to give superior customer service.
Using less energy to clean and cool water

Waterix pays particular attention to overall lifecycle costs and eco-efficiency in the design of its products. As a result, they offer lower energy consumption than competing technologies, easy installation and servicing, and excellent controllability.
This has made them popular in both industrial and municipal treatment plants, while smaller models are ideal for oxygenating lakes, ponds, fish and crab basins, and even ponds on golf courses.
Programmability
Waterix’ AIRIT aerators combine the high operating efficiency and controllability of bottom aerators with the reliability and low capital cost of surface aerators.
The use of large intake pipes, which can be up to six meters deep, means that water can circulate easily. Once on the surface, water is thrown out horizontally in carefully controlled droplet and spray patterns and aerated.
To ensure optimum energy usage, a programmable AC drive is used to control rotational speed. Oxygen sensors measure the oxygen level in the water and pass this data on to the drive, which automatically regulates aerating capacity as needed.

The in-built programmability of the system also enables customers to set up things such as automatic propeller cleaning cycles and tailored aerating/mixing sequences.
The light weight of Waterix aerators is also a plus. Smaller cranes are needed to install units at wastewater treatment plants, while units used in natural water areas can be installed and moved manually.
Cooling things down
By modifying droplet size and using larger and higher spray patterns, an aerator can make a highly efficient and cost-effective cooler – and Waterix COOLIT coolers are ideal for cooling hot process water and acting as condensers for cooling basin water.
Two small COOLIT 8000 units weighing about 80 kilos, for example, can replace an entire cooling tower of the type widely used in the forest industry weighing almost a tonne.
Thanks to their large intake pipes, Waterix coolers are virtually always blockage-free, something that is particularly appreciated on golf courses, and a slightly modified version of the COOLIT 8000 has been specifically designed for aerating and cooling golf course ponds.
