Vandenbroek International is a worldwide provider of solutions and experience in the thermal treatment of de-watered sewage sludges. The Vandenbroek Thermo-Kinetic Drum Dryer has proved to be a safe and reliable method of converting wet, sticky sludge cakes into dry granular product.
In order to meet national and internatinal guidlines for environmental protection, all innovations and experience have been incorporated into VADEB® Systems
Biomass Drying The VADEB® biomass dryer is suitable for drying of various types of products. A part of the dried product can be used as fuel for the heat generation required for the drying process. The final product can be easily pelletized and bagged for commercial purposes. woodchips short rotation coppice sawdust bagasse manure RDF The VADEB® biomass dryers are available in any capacity of up to 50 tons of water evaporation per hour and can be used for 'green' bio-energy generation plants. Plants : bio-energy combustion and gasification plants power generation plants other biomass treatment processes
Green Fodder Drying The VADEB® green-fodder drying installations are suitable for drying of grass, alfalfa, Lucerne, corn pulp, grains, sugar beet pulp, potato, etc. Thanks to the advanced off-gas treatment technology available, the VADEB drying plants comply with the most stringent environmental emission regulations
Refuse Derived Fuel VADEB® Thermal Kinetic Drying Technology is custom-made for the production of Refuse Derived Fuel. A ‘turbulent rinsing’ of the wet product with the hot air flow is achieved in Vadeb’s Multi-Pass System : a multi-dimensional, spiral-shaped passage of air flow and wet product through a drum. This Multi-Pass System exists of 10 drying passes in the length of the drum. Fase 1 - Flash drying The warm turbulent air stream flowing through the product creates a fast initial evaporation of the free surface water because of the high temperature differential between hot air and product water, thereby cooling down quickly the temperature of the air that surrounds the product. The heat from the air is transferred to the evaporation ( latent ) heat. Thermodynamically this process can be described as an adiabatic cooling system. The product temperature itself does hardly rise
Sludge Drying The VADEB® sludge dryers are suitable for drying of raw, primary, secondary, (un)digested and/or a mixture of imported municipal sewage sludge, and for all kinds of industrial sludge's. The fully dry, dust-free granules (1-5 mm, 90-95% D.S.) can be used for land application, as supplementary fuel in coal-fired power stations, as combined fuel/raw product for the cement industry and as bulking agent in green waste composting systems. With the VADEB-Combi Dryers production of partial dried sludge (60-70%) is also possible. The drying air can be heated directly (VADEB®-DDD) or indirectly (VADEB®-IDD) by means of oil, natural gas, biogas or any combination of the fuel types mentioned. Waste heat from other sources (exhaust gas from incineration, gasification, turbines, etc.) can also be used for the drying process
| VADEB® technology : sludge treatment in a sustainable perspective Vandenbroek International is continuing its search for sustainable solutions for wastewater sludges. All VADEB® technology is well suited to the individual capacities of regional sewage treatment plants. | |
