| Geomembrane Name: ATARFIL TX/TXT Product: Geomembrane Manufactured by Atarfil Details: ATARFIL TX/TXT is a textured one or two sides geomembrane manufactured from maximum quality high density polyethylene resins. ATARFIL TX/TXT contains 97,5 % of pure polymer, and approximately 2,5 % of Carbon Black, antioxidants and thermal stabilizers. The product does not contain plasticizers or fillers that can migrate over time. ATARFIL TX/TXT has similar properties to the non textured product. Texture density can be chosen from 40 to 140 gr/m2. The geomembrane ATARFIL TX/TXT is manufactured under rigorous quality controls. |
| MANUFACTURING OF THERMOPLASTIC GEOMEMBRANES BY EXTRUSION-CALENDERED (EC). PRODUCTION LINES M5, M1 AND M3 This system is well known as the one that gets the maximum regularity in thickness. It is used in many industrial applications among which is the manufacturing of waterproofing geomembranes. Its development is subsequent to the EE System and it mainly consists of a set of three cylinders in parallel. The lower two receive the extruded material from a flat die of the same width. The set of cylinders is called calender and its task is the progresive cooling and superficial finishing of the geomembrane. | MANUFACTURING OF THERMOPLASTIC GEOMEMBRANES BY EXTRUSION-EXTRUSION (EE). PRODUCTION LINE M2 Atarfil has three modern manufacturing units by calendered (EC) with rolls in 6,5m and 2m wide, called Lines M5, M1 Y M3 respectively.
Units M5 y M3 are fitted with coextrusion and automatic thickness control. Unit M3 can also manufacture product with reinforcement mesh.
Likewise, Atarfil has another machine called M2 with Extrusion-Extrusion technology (EE).
MANUFACTURING OF THERMOPLASTIC GEOMEMBRANES BY EXTRUSION-EXTRUSION (EE). PRODUCTION LINE M2
The EE manufacturing process of HDPE Geomembranes was born in Germany in 1972, being probably the most ancient of all those currently in use. It is certainly the only one that was specifically and exclusively designed for the transformation of HDPE resin into waterproof geomembranes.
ATARFIL has got a machine following this process since February 1999. Although at present timethere are other manufacturers with this kind of system around the world, the working unit of ATARFIL is probably the most modern and well-developed one due to its technology and permanent control of quality, thickness and temperature.
