Aspectrics provides on-line, remotely deployable instruments based on a technology pioneered by Tom Hagler Founder, Ph.D. Physicist that enables real-time, parts-per-billion monitoring of the dozens to hundreds of chemical components and emissions associated with most any production process. This family of instruments sets a new standard for stability, is field deployable and customizable for a wide range of industrial applications, including process control, quality control, and environmental emission controls. Aspectrics began in 2004 to develop and manufacture a new generation of on-line and remotely deployable process monitoring instruments based on a patented, breakthrough technology that the company describes as EP-IR (Encoded Photometric Infra-Red). An opportunity exists for EP-IR to replace Non-Dispersive Infrared (NDIR), Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) and gas chromatographic technologies currently used for process monitoring and environmental applications. EP-IR is faster than traditional (FT-IR) systems, provides more information than an (NDIR) system, and does not require consumables like a process based GC. The company is now shipping production systems, and presently has installations at multiple sites spanning a range of industries. The company is managed by a team of Silicon Valley and instrument company veterans and has more than $11 million of venture capital backing to date. Technology Aspectrics' products are based upon its patented Encoded Photometric Infrared Spectroscopy (EP-IR) technology invented and reduced to practice by the company’s founder and CTO, Thomas W. Hagler, Ph.D. This technology enables Aspectrics to produce multi-application chemical composition analyzers, based upon a universal EP-IR hardware platform. Investor Information The cost-to-performance ratio and adaptability of the EP-IR hardware platform will allow Aspectrics to tackle many markets in parallel and have an abbreviated time-to-market for emerging opportunities. It will also allow the company to focus R&D resources on technology advancements and application-specific software development. Because it is based on well-established rotary-encoder technology, the size, weight and manufactured cost of the EP-IR Analyzer provide a substantial driving force for market penetration. Seven U.S. patents and one foreign patent covering the core encoding technology have already been awarded and there are a number of other patents still pending. Development of a strong patent position will place the company in the position of having proprietary control of what Aspectrics believes will become an industry standard. Applications Real-Time process monitoring requires fast component measurement. Aspectrics Encoded Photometric IR technology provides ultra-fast measurement capability – up to 100 scans/second (100Hz) for simultaneous measurement of multiple interfering gas components. These real-time capabilities enable the Aspectrics MultiComponent™ Analyzers to measure many components down to the sub-ppb level. Aspectrics MultiComponent™ Analyzers are ideally suited for the following applications: Continuous Emissions Monitoring (CEMS) Automobile Emissions – too meet the 2007/2010 new emission standards Solvent Processing Streams Environmental Monitoring In addition, the Aspectrics MultiComponent™ Analyzers are capable of real-time process monitoring whereby the components being measured fall within the following spectral ranges: Aspectrics MultiComponent™ 5000 Analyzer 2.5 µm to 5.0 µm (4000 cm-1 to 2000 cm-1 ) Typical component analysis - CO, CO2, CH4, Total hydrocarbons Aspectrics MultiComponent™ 5500 Analyzer 2.85 µm to 5.50 µm (3500 cm-1 to 1818 cm-1) Typical component analysis – NOx, HCL, NH3
| At-line Analyzers Aspectrics line of Mid Infrared and Near Infrared At-line Analyzer packages are designed to maximum performance for gases, solids and liquid applications. Aspectrics At-line packages come complete with a MultiComponent spectrometer, instrument control and data processing software as well as an optimized sampling accessory or method development bench. In addition, these bundled packages can be customized to further meet your specific application challenges. |
| Process Analyzers Aspectrics MultiComponent™ instruments are now Military Standard Certified to meet the requirements of the demanding process environment. The patented encoder disk technology enables scanning of the spectral range without the need for a Michelson interferometer - vibration insensitive operation! The result: Ultra-fast — 100 scans/second Process rugged design — Military Standard Certified Real-time data streaming — process control Aspectrics offers a number of process instruments to meet the demands of many different real-time process applications. Aspectrics MultiComponent spectrometers are easily integrated into process hardened enclosures. In addition, industry standard software protocols and LAN based communications minimize integration costs associated with proprietary protocols. Furthermore, Aspectrics MultiComponent Analyzers include a built-in web interface for remote diagnostics and systems status accessible from any PC based web browser. |
| Sampling Accessories Aspectrics offers a number of integrated gas sample cells (Aspectrics ICELL ), transmission sampling probes and diffused reflectance probes to facilitate rapid integration of the MultiComponent⢠Analyzers into any at-line or on-line process application. In addition, fiber optic cabling and stability controlled Near Infrared (NIR) source provides optimum performance for NIR applications.
