SÜDSALZ is one of the largest and most capable German salt supplier. High product quality as well as knowledge of the market demands and customer needs are the strength factors of this business enterprise. They have contributed to the market leadership, like the strong position of the brand "Bad Reichenhaller".
SÜDSALZ covers all consumer sectors, such as food-grade salt, salt for animal feeding, commercial salt, pharma salt, road salt or industrial salt, with a complete pro-gramme of rock and evaporated salt products. Flexible customer orientation, high quality awareness in the development and production of the products, a modern logistic concept, highest standard of work safety and competence as well as well-informed and motivated personnel constitute our basis for a successful future
| Fully automatic brine generators - low cost brine production With our fully automated brine generators you can prepare the brine required for carrying out an effective winter service from thawing salt yourself, thereby reducing the costs. Our brine generators are proven in arduous winter service in the course of many years. By virtue of a solution throughput of 2500 to 3000 litres per hour, the ready-to-use brine can be produced in a short time.
Solmatic/Soltronic S1 - the high performance brine producer
Informations:
This fully automated brine generator available in sizes from 35 to 40 cubic metres ca-pacity is designed as upright frame room with entrance door. With thermal insulation and heating facility it provides an ideal place for weather-protected accommodation of the complete scattering equipment and thus permits user friendly operation.
By virtue of its capacity, the high performance Solmatic/Soltronic S1 is particularly suit-able for application fields requiring large quantities of brine. Buffer containers with cor-responding capacity can be connected.

| Moist salt scattering technique: FS 30 Dry salt is loaded into the scattering material container of the vehicles. NaCl, CaCl2 or MgCl2 brine is contained in liquid tanks attached to the side of the scattering material containers. The salt and the moistening salt solution are separate during transport. The thawing salt and the moistening salt solution are mixed immediately before bringing the material out onto the scattering plate, in the mixing ratio of 70 percent by weight of thawing salt and 30 percent by weight of moistening salt solution.
A less common variant (FS 5) also exists apart from the customary moistening salt (FS 30).
|
| Moist salt: Better adhesion, greater scattering widths Moist salt is obtained by wetting the dry thawing salt with salt solutions (NaCl, CaCl2 , MgCl2 ). This prevents blow-away while it is being scattered onto the road, permits greater scattering width, gives better adhesion than dry salt to roadways covered with hoarfrost and smooth ice, initiates the thawing process more quickly and keeps the roads ice free for a longer time. The quicker action and smaller blow-away losses makes it possible to use smaller quantities of moist salt and at the same time achieve a greater effect.
Moist salt scattering has increased greatly during the nineteeneighties outside of municipal areas. Since the beginning of the nineties it is also increasingly applied within municipal areas; it is to become the standard form of scattering thawing agents in Germany.

| Road salt No problem with ice and snow
A long walk through the winter landscape deeply covered with snow, a brisk run down the snow white piste or skating on a frozen lake are delights of the season, but the winter has many faces: Ice covered roads, skidding vehicles or persons falling down on slippery paths.
Particularly for road traffic, roads free of snow and ice are essential for the safety of all participants. Thereby the thawing salt is of primary importance. The freezing point is lowered by a physical-chemical transformation of ice and snow to water, achieving sustained elimination of slipperiness. Apart from the thawing salt, a matured methodology such as the moist salt technology, optimally matched equipment units, precisely defined task distribution and cautious behaviour of all traffic participants are necessary to ensure safety on our roads even under adverse weather conditions.
SĂDSALZ has established itself in the course of the years as a competent winter service partner. High performance ultra-modern plants in our factories, high quality thawing products, a close-mesh network of outpost stores and a competent marketing team ensure rapid availability of the thawing salt. Our logistic partners take care of optimum distribution of the products to our customers â by truck, ship or rail transport.
Our range of products:
Thawing salt from SĂDSALZ is available as extraction and rock salt in 2.5kg, 4kg, 10kg, 25kg and 50kg packages, loose and with various grain sizes.
