The key of the process is the dewatering drum consist of a screw rotating with a constant speed inside layers of fixed rings, moving rings and spacers, which dewatering and thickening the sludge in one treatment. The installation can treat sludge as aqueous solution of 0,1% DS directly from a biological process like for example an aeration tank. And produces a cake to approx. 25% DS. With this process will be separate thickening, store and process conditions are not necessary. The installation works fully automatic without operators, has a low sound level and low energy usage. The process The sludge is automatically fed from the oxidation ditch using the timer in the Volute. The sludge is fed into the flocculation tank where the polymer are added.
