After 24 years of continuous operation the grinder is finally taking a break from the slopes and coming back to JWC Environmental’s Buford, Georgia rebuild facility to get a new set of sharp steel cutter teeth installed. Then it’s back up on Gore Mountain again for even more shredding.

Company History Inventor Joe Chambers, Sr. and his son, Woodie, faced a skeptical industry in the 1970s when the first Muffin Monster was introduced to the wastewater industry. With innovative products and passage of the U.S. Clean Water Act, JWC expanded rapidly. As plants grew larger in size, we developed the Channel Monster. Later in the 1990s, fine screening grew in popularity, JWCs growing R&D staff developed the Auger Monster screen as well as screenings processing systems. The newest addition to the JWC product line are the Monster Separation Systems, screening equipment that marries fine screen technology and superior screenings conditioning capabilities of the Screenings Washer Monster. Today, there are Monster systems for virtually all types and sizes of plants. | Honey MonsterÂŽ Septage Receiving System The Septage Receiving System is based on proven Auger MonsterÂŽ technology, which allows cleaner handling of septage truck waste through separation of solids. The unique combination of grinding, washing and dewatering septage waste can be accomplished in approximately 5 to 15 minutes for a typical septage truck.
An optional metering and billing control system is available for monitoring septage flow and providing accurate billing information to septage haulers and the plant. The system is based on a card reader or digital key pad for security, in combination with a flow meter and valve |

| Screenings Washer MonsterÂŽ The Screenings Washer Monster is a self-contained, hopper-fed system used to effectively grind, wash, compact and dewater screenings that have been captured by a bar screen or other screenings removal device. The removed solids contain up to 50% dry solids, are 80% compacted and are significantly lighter and cleaner than typical screened solids. The unique process of grinding prior to solids separation removes virtually all the soft organics (fecal) from the discharged product, which reduces odors and landfill costs.
The direct mounting of the grinder on the auger minimizes the height of the unit and feeds solids directly into the washing chamber in ideal condition. The internal wash system sprays directly on the screenings, auger and screen perforations. These internally mounted spray bars offer the highest level of efficiency and keeps the 2, 3 or 6mm perforated screen open and clear.
The Screenings Washer Monster uses the same proven technology of the award winning Auger MonsterÂŽ product line. Captured solids are diverted through a grinder and passed to an auger, which washes and separates the soft organics from the plastics, paper and other undesirables. Grinding exposes more surface area, allowing the spray water to isolate and clean more of the unwanted solids. The material is then conveyed, compacted and dewatered. The result is drier, less odorous screenings ready for disposal.
