This means that the amplitude is self regulating depending on the relationship between the weight of the screen itself and the counterweight. Circular motion machines have a steep angle of throw and therefore require an inclination of 10-18Â°. Exceptions are the dewatering screen at 3-5Â° and steep screens, for example when screening sand at an angle of 20-40Â°.

The angle of throw is determined by the construction and application but is usually 35-60Â°. The counterweight can be adjusted in stages from 50-100 %37. In this way the amplitude can be adjusted to meet the operational reqirements.
