 Landfill technology
Landfill technology
The steady decrease in landfill space, rising waste volumes and their unknown composition are creating new challenges for us.
The steady decrease in landfill space, rising waste volumes and their unknown composition are creating new challenges for us. Old landfills holding unknown substances are ticking time bombs that require many years of after-care.
In recent years, the progress in landfill remediation technologies has been enormous. Now, a variety of measures are available with which the situation in the area surrounding a landfill can be improved sustainably.
The IuT Group offers the following landfill technologies:
- design and construction of new landfills or landfill cells according to the European standard including all required ancillary facilities
- landfill degasification and gas-to-energy systems
- sustainable remediation of landfills by landfill mining and sorting of the excavated waste.
INNOVATION UND TECHNIK - INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY
Our solutions for sustainable and cost-efficient waste management:
Landfill Technology
At INNOVATION und TECHNIK GmbH & Co KG, "landfill technology" comprises:
- use of the SMELL-WELL-System for landfill aeration
- technology for full landfill remediation including excavation, logistics, sorting, filling / SITE RECLAMATION
- and use of biogas from existing landfills in GAS UTILISATION PLANTS
Treatment technology
Rising environmental awareness, shrinking spaces available for landfills and strict standards for materials being landfilled call for an environmentally friendly solution:
Treatment plants that are carefully designed for each specific task{0> z.B. such as
- sorting
- treatment of construction rubble and waste-derived fuels and
- processing prior to biological treatment or waste-to-energy uses
put recyclable materials to new uses, remove hazardous substances, and in materials destined for use as fuel optimise the calorific value of the combustible fraction.
After treatment, the required landfill volume is dramatically reduced!
Organic treatment
In waste management, organic wastes such as yard trimmings and food scraps are a special issue because of the carbon present in such materials. Optimised processes for the treatment of the organic fraction contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere.
INNOVATION und TECHNIK basically offers two types of processes for this purpose:
1. Aerobic treatment: COMPOSTING
2. Anaerobic treatment: FERMENTATION with the ADOS process (Anarobe Digestion of Organic Slurry).
