Three Sludge Dewatering Lines for Baiyun/China
Three Sludge Dewatering Lines for Baiyun/China
Three sludge dewatering lines left our Düren plant en route to our customer Zhumadianshi Baiyun Paper, a pulp and paper mill situated in the north of China.
This consignment is the largest order in the history of BELLMER KUFFERATH as a supplier of screw presses for sludge dewatering purposes. Each of the three lines basically consists of an FR flocculation reactor, an AKSE® S 175/9 disc-thickener and an AKUPRESS® BX 1000 screw press.
Altogether, the three lines are determined to handle a mixture of mechanical, biological and chemical sludge. The characteristic feature is the very high percentage of chemical sludge from precipitation, which is why waste straw was added to the sludge as structural material to support the dewatering efficiency. The necessary equipment mainly consisting of bunkers including moving floors, conveyor belts, dosing and mixing systems has also been part of our scope of supply.
Our services also encompass the supply of the entire electrical equipment together with all relevant instrumentation and control system.
An important role in the success of this order has to be attributed to our colleagues of Bellmer Shanghai. On the one hand for their commitment and assistance during the project and the order handling process. On the other hand, it was the first time that a shipment was supplemented by a number of essential components made in China.
The lines are scheduled to be assembled on site in January and February and planned to go into operation in spring 2011. The photo shows the three lines together with the control cabinets in the BELLMER KUFFERATH assembly workshop prior to delivery.
Bellmer sludge dewatering technology,Belt press technology
The German company Gebr. Bellmer GmbH, founded in 1842, is considered to be the market leader in the field of belt press technology. More than 4,000 installations worldwide and 80 machines in China emphasize the efficiency of Bellmer. The Bellmer Products are applied in various fields such as environmental technology, fruit pressing and food processing, paper industry and other industries. In the field of environmental technology we offer the following machine: • Low operation costs • Continuous, fully automatical operation • Closed design, low smell emission • High solids contents • Low manpower and maintenance required • Best possible safety • Highest throughput The Bellmer TurboDrain for economical thickening provides the following advantages: • Easy operation • Easy to maintenance • Quick cleaning • Continuous operation • Lowest operation costs : Bellmer sludge dewatering technology The WINKLEPRESS WPN for perfect sludge dewatering at lowest operational costs sets a standard for best quality. Due to the unique process technology with up to 6 dewatering stages, high dry solids contents can be achieved. The closed design of the WINKLEPRESS WPN™ ensures an efficient odour control. The Safety Precision Frame SPF provides best possible protection against accidents. The TURBODRAIN TDC for economical and highly effective sludge thickening represents an important development for the separation of suspensions. Thickening on the TURBODRAIN may reduce the volume of all types of suspensions by up to 95 %. Due to the compact design, minimum space is required resulting in low building costs. The patented Bellmer mixing unit ensures a very low consumption of flocculent.

| Thickening and dewatering of fibrous materials The dewatering of fibrous material is a fundamental process in the paper and pulp production, but also in all other manufacturing processes using or treating fibre suspensions. |
| Thickening and dewatering of sludges Both economic and ecological demands make maximum dewatering of sludge a most crucial step in the process flow, especially for the pulp and paper industry with their large quantities of sludge to handle. A highest possible dry content of dewatered sludge minimizes weight and volume, hence achieving the following objectives:
reduction of transport and disposal cost
high heating value for incineration without additional fuel
With the sludge dewatering systems including both AKSE® S disc thickener and AKUPRESS® BX screw press BELLMER KUFFERATH Machinery offers plant and equipment able to dewater structured sludges to maximum dry contents. |
