Portrait of Eisenwerke Fried. Wilh. Düker
The Eisenwerke Fried. Wilh. Düker GmbH & Co. KGaA is a medium-sized company with a tradition of a smeltery and hammer mill. Today there are five divisions: gas and water supply, drainage technology, glasslining technology, engineering and jobbing foundry.
With cast iron products, Düker is one of the leading manufacturers of valves and pressure fittings for the drinking water and gas supply as well as of pipes and fittings for the drainage systems.
Furthermore the development and production of acid-proof enamelled components and pipes for the plant engineering of the chemical and pharmaceutical industry as well as service activities from planning to realisation of casting machines and pipeline systems of the chemical and pharmaceutical industry belong to the core competence of Düker.
In the lower franconian locations Karlstadt and Laufach there are around
700 employees with an apprenticeship rate of approximately 10%. So Düker is one of the biggest German iron foundries.

| Anyone building a plant has to think in terms of systems Engineering (DPI) brings together and structures specialist knowledge in different areas and operates worldwide both technically and commercially as a closely knit organisation. The resulting close collaboration between experts makes for reliability not only in technology and client-oriented planning but also in economic implementation. Form the planning phase onwards, optimum efficiency of your plant concept is documented by comprehensive advice and precise planning and calculation. All participants contribute the total of their know-how from tendering stage onwards. They check the conditions for plant integration, determine the materials needed, optimise the use of components specific to the client and set time limits for the carrying our and coordination of all the assembly and ereciton operations involved. We do of course also take each step in conjunction with the client’s quality management specialists or independent bodies |
| Bottom Outlet Valves The new DÜKER Bottom Outlet Valves were produced according to DGRL and all types are according to the requirements of “TA-Luft”. All Gaskets are according to FDA – instructions and also the construction is equal to the scale for perfect cleaning. The QHD (Qualified Hygienic Design“ confirmed this.. Also our valves are in accordance to GMP. We offer these explanations Glass lined Bottom Outlet valve gap free (DÜKER GMP – Valve) Normal Glass lined Bottom Outlet Valve Bottom Outlet Valve in stainless steel und Hastelloy |
| Email 800 the classic enamel New products and new process techniques are creating both larger areas of use and more exacting requirements for surface protection in plant engineering. We catered for these requirements when developing our “Glass Lining Technologies”. Our Email 800 is highly resistant to attack, wear and corrosion and to diffusion during long holding times. These characteristics have been confirmed by independent tests and major chemical laboratories in Germany and Switzerland. Manifolder with Email 800Here are some of the results: Acid Resistance • according to DIN ISO 2743 (HCI 20%; 108°C) • according to DIN 51174 (HCI 20%; 140°C) abrasion 0.18 mm/year Alkali Resistance • according to DIN ISO 2745 (NaOH 4%; 80°C) abrasion 0.4 mm/year • according to DIN ISO 2745 as amended abrasion 0.3 mm/year Resistance to boiling water • according to DIN ISO 2744 (demineralised water at 100°)abrasion 0,02 mm/year We produce pips and fittings, valves and columns with our special resistant email 800. One example for these valves are our bottom outlet valves. What is ultimately decisive is that Email 800 means durability and saves natural recourses. Its manufacture and waste disposal are entirely ecological. |
| MLetecÂŽ enamelled drainage pipe system by DĂźker DĂźker is the only manufacturer to offer cast iron drainage pipes and fittings with inside and outside enamelling.
This enamelling outdistances zinc coatings for outside or underground installation. It is scratch-resistant and resilient to strokes, therefore relatively insensitive during transport and site handling. The special composition of the enamel prevents large-scale chipping, which makes the cutting of the pipes with a belt saw or a powered disc cutter possible.
Enamel is hard, smooth and wear resistant just like glass and therefore insensitive to incrustations. Furthermore, enamel is an inorganic and diffusion-tight material which offers germs no nutritive base.
Therefore, MLetecÂŽ can be used for aggressive media
- due to grease â e.g. professional kitchens, restaurants, canteens, butcheries
- due to high temperatures â e.g. industrial waste water
- in case of special waste water compositions please hand in the waste water analysis for verification in the factory.
or for aggressive environments
- in case of underground installation
- in case of installation outside, with additional optical advantages. |
| SML pipe system (SMU pipes) by DĂźker DĂźker supplies a comprehensive range of no-hub SML pipes and fittings from DN 40 up to DN 300, in part up to DN 400. SML pipes are also called SMU pipes by some users. Apart from the simple fittings such as bends, branches and reductions, DĂźker also supplies special fittings for the connection of toilets and wash basins, siphons, inspection pipes, down pipe supports and connection pieces of other pipe materials, normally from stock.
SML (SMU) pipes are suitable for installation inside buildings. SML pipes and fittings can also be laid in concrete without problems, as the length expansion coefficient of cast iron and concrete are very similar, and as concrete protects cast iron from corrosion.
SML pipes can also be installed outside on a buildings (as a rain water down pipe) or for example in underground parkings. In case of such a visible installation with danger of corrosion, we recommend to apply an additional rust protection coating as known in the steel construction trade for optical reasons. |
| TML drainage pipes and fittings for underground installation The coating system of TML drainage pipes and fittings is based on EN 877, which says that the use of SML pipes for underground installation, which had been practiced for years, is no longer admissible. TML pipes and fittings are suitable up to soil class II, evaluation no. -5 up to -10 (as per German DVGW worksheet GW9). The superior stability of cast iron pipes and fittings plays off its advantages in the underground installation. As a reference value, a cover height of 0.8 up to 6.0 m and a simultaneous traffic load of SLW 60 can be assumed.
Watch out for the use of correct couplings for buried installation. We recommend the Rapid Inox coupling. The CE coupling, which used to be installed underground, can only be employed with an additional corrosion protection such as a tar wrapping. | |
