Cemtrex is a publicly traded (OTC: CTEX) leading technology company providing turnkey services for CDM & JI projects for the reduction of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases. Cemtrex provides investment equity into CDM projects and arranges for the sales of carbon credits (CERs) for its customers. Through its MIP-Ducon division the Company is also engaged in the manufacture, sale and service of the most advanced instruments, software and systems for monitoring emissions of Greenhouse gases, hazardous gases, particulate and other regulated pollutants used in emissions trading globally.
Emissions monitoring is vital in ensuring that the mandated reductions of Greenhouse gases and SOx, NOx and CO2 under Acid Rain and Kyoto programs are achieved. These programs require an accounting of each ton of emissions from each regulated facility. United Nations & EPA have established quotas that mandate continuous monitoring of SO2, flow, NOx and opacity for units regulated under these programs. Additionally, emissions from all utilities and industrial facilities are regulated by EPA guidelines.
Cemtrex is currently developing several CDM projects around the globe and providing consulting services to various clients regarding potential carbon creation projects.
| Activated Carbon Filter Ducon Carbon Absorbers are custom designed to remove odor-causing components such as hydrogen sulfide, mercaptans, organic acids, aldeheydes, and ketones in various industrial and municipal applications. Single bed units are available for capacities up to 10,000 acfm. Dual bed units are utilized for higher capacities. |
| Baghouse Filter Ducon supplies pulse-air and reverse air type baghouse filters for industrial and utility applications. Over the years Ducon has provided hundreds of successfully operating installations for a variety of industries, such as: coal, cement, steel, power, mining and chemical. Ducon's Bag Filters are state of the art, high efficiency, modular filters designed to handle gas volumes from several hundred to several thousand cubic feet per minute. All Ducon Bag Filters are custom designed for optimum air-to-cloth ratios, longer bag life and higher particulate removal efficiencies. For large power plant application Ducon supplies reverse air baghouses utilizing 35 feet long bags. Ducon can provide bags with a wide choice of materials including: Polyester, NOMAX, Acrylic, Teflon, Glass, Ryton, fiberglass, or sintered metal. Ducon baghouse can provide over 90% mercury removal from coal-fired boiler exhaust gases. |
| Dry Flue Gas Desulfurization (SDR) System Ducon supplies Semi-Dry Removal (SDR) type Dry Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) Systems as well as Dry Injection type systems. The SDR systems are custom designed to absorb gaseous pollutants utilizing a spray dryer and a baghouse filter. Ducon's specially designed air atomizing nozzles provide the liquid reagent slurry into the spray dryer for high efficiency removal of SO2, HCl, Mercury and other toxic components from flue gases. Ducon's SDR system provides very high on-line availability and low maintenance as compared to a rotary atomizer type of system.
Ducon provides Dry Injection Systems using lime, trona, activated carbon and other dry reagents to remove sulfur dioxide, dioxins, mercury, Hydrogen Chloride and fumes. The reagent is added in a recirculating type reactor with steam injection for higher absorption. The particulate is then recovered downstream using a bag house filter. Ducon's Dry Injection Systems are able to achieve over 90% SO2 removal efficiencies.
Ducon Dry Scrubber generates a dry waste product that can be easily disposed of with conventional flyash handling equipment. Ducon provides complete turnkey systems for industrial and utility clients.

| Flue Gas Desulfurization Ducon provides both wet & Dry FGD systems. FGD systems are custom designed to remove sulfur dioxide from flue gases using a variety of reagents, such as: caustic, lime, limestone, ammonia, flyash, magnesium oxide, soda ash, sea water or double alkali. Ducon can provide systems that recover sulfur, sulfuric acid or make dry gypsum from waste product. Ducon has supplied wet FGD systems on over 20,000 MW of combined power plant capacity. Ducon FGD systems can achieve over 99% sulfur dioxide removal efficiency. Ducon FGD systems can recover up to 90% of oxidized mercury in the flue gas.
Depending upon the reagent utilized, Ducon can select a packed tower, a spray tower or a Ventri-Rod Absorber (VRAâ˘) (a proprietary Environeering unit for the wet FGD application.
For Dry FGD systems, Ducon uses its proprietary two-fluid nozzle DRX-25 to atomize feed slurry in the spray reactor. Ducon provides either bag house filter or Electrostatic Precipitator for duct collection downstream. Ducon works with reputable vendors to provide Gas-to-Gas heat exchangers, fans, controls, and reagent handling & feeding systems.
Ducon has the capability to provide a complete turnkey installation including effluent treatment systems.
